Who is Sofía Jirau?
Sofía Jirau is a model from Puerto Rico.
The Latina woman made her first modeling debut which launched her career at 19 years old.
In 2020, Sofía took the fashion industry by storm as the Latina woman walked in one of the world’s biggest fashion events, which is New York Fashion Week.
Taking to Instagram, Sofía shared the monumental news about her milestone moment.
Posting to social media in Latin, Sofía shared about her dream coming true.
“One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it and today it is a dream come true. I can finally tell you my big secret… I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome!

Apart from modeling, Sofía is also very active as a businesswoman.
The model launched her very own clothing brand known as Alavett in 2019.
The clothing brand sells t-shirts, pillows, hats, mugs and others accessories.
Apart from her career as a model and a young businesswoman, the 24-year-old is also a very passionate activist.
Jiaru kicked off her career in Puerto Rico in 2019 before making her modeling debut at New York Fashion Week back in 2020. At the time, she assured that the big milestone was just the beginning
